is the joined, potent force of musician-healers Carrie Crockett (Bellow Wing) and Christi Mikles (Circle of Life Healing Arts). Friends for three decades, we’ve lived several lives with the other at our sides. When both of our paths crossed into healing modalities, it was only natural for us to collaborate! A steward of intergenerational music-medicine- blending sacred sound, energy healing, and elemental rituals that are rooted deeply in animistic and nature-based traditions. I’m a life-long animal lover and musician, a certified meditation teacher, 20+ year Reiki Practitioner-Teacher, and Animal Intuitive residing in the Verde Valley of Sedona, Arizona. I bring a wealth of experience and compassion from my own healing journey. My connection to source and the Earth via my reiki practice has increased my intuitive and healing capabilities with animals and humans alike. At the heart of my philosophy is the belief in our innate capacity for healing from within. It is my goal to shine my light on the journey toward uncovering inner radiance. Carrie:
I’m a classically trained musician, performer, composer and producer, hailing from the Pacific Northwest. Words, music, sounds and the range of effects they have on our beings has fascinated me ever since I was a child. In 2022 I received an Akashic reading and was told that I am meant to use my voice for healing. At the time, I wasn’t sure what that meant but soon after, I dove heart-first into sound healing training. Healing is always my goal in songwriting, but as a sound healing practitioner, the sounds that come out are different from a typical song. I integrate channeling, play and musical training to intuitively weave healing sounds together. My goal is to help others feel safe and supported in their bodies for wherever the journey of life is taking them. You can find more in-depth info about me and my music here.
What is a Vortex?
An energy vortex is a spiraling center of energy beneficial for spiritually supportive activities like meditation and prayer. A vortex is a location with more earthly energy than you might find most places. Spending time near a vortex can promote deep insights. It can help you feel at peace, clear your mind and make you feel connected to yourself and to something greater.
The human being can be seen as a complex, higher-dimensional vortex, composed of three distinct energetic levels. These happen to also correspond to the three main energy centers in esoteric Japanese cosmology and Reiki practice:
**Heaven Ki (Forehead / Head Center)**
Centered in the cerebellum and cerebrum, this level relates to the nervous system and connects to one’s spirit—our “Heavenly Ki.”
**Heart Ki (Chest Center)**
Anchored in the heart and lungs, this center governs the circulatory and respiratory systems, and holds emotional energy.
**Earth Ki (Hara / Abdomen Center)**
Located just below the navel, in the hara, this center involves the stomach, liver, and kidneys. It stores one’s original life energy—the essence you’re born with and the source that fuels your purpose.
